Monday, November 18

TM10: CEU Tour – It’s Working Well 

  • 1:00pm – 5:00pm
  • A tour of three Atlanta offices that are both WELL and LEED certified, all focused on sustainability and employee wellbeing. The second stop on the tour is Interface’s Base Camp, our new global headquarters in Midtown which is aiming for LEED v4 Platinum and WELL Gold certification.

Wednesday, November 20

EL16: Legislating the Circular Economy of Building Products

  • 10:30am – 11:30am
  • Interface Ed Lab, Booth #623 (Expo Hall)
  • This session will explore voluntary and legislative approaches to scaling the circular economy for building products, including new LEED credits and new state laws forExtended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

Stephen R. Kellert Biophilic Design Awards (Hosted by ILFI, Sponsored by Interface)

  • 6:00pm – 9:00pm
  • Kendeda Building @ Georgia Tech
  • The award honors the late scholar and Yale University social ecologist Stephen R. Kellert’s legacy as a pioneer in articulating and applying biophilic design principles to the built environment. The third annual award program will recognize the most outstanding biophilic design projects globally. The selection of projects represents architecture and interiors, as well as community and urban-scale projects.

Thursday, November 21

EL56: Specifying Healthy AND Carbon-Smart Materials

  • 10:15am – 11:15am
  • Interface Ed Lab, Booth #623 (Expo Hall)
  • This session will equip manufacturers, architects, designers, and other building industry professionals with specific and practical strategies for selecting products and materials that reduce embodied carbon emissions and move the industry toward making buildings part of the solution instead of less of the problem. 

EL26: How to Own Your Entire Carbon Footprint (Including the Supply Chain)

  • 12:30pm – 1:30pm
  • Interface Ed Lab, Booth #623 (Expo Hall)
  • This session brings together two progressive owners’ perspectives on approaching the embodied carbon of building materials as part of carbon reduction targets beyond operational energy.   

EL66: How Can Buildings Become Carbon Sinks?

  • 4:00pm – 5:00pm
  • Interface Ed Lab, Booth #623 (Expo Hall)
  • This session will highlight the emerging standards, practices and tools that enable buildings to store carbon, focusing on both construction and interiors stages.

Friday, November 22

Greenbuild Closing Keynote

  • 12:00pm – 1:00pm
  • Hall B1
  • Interface CEO Jay Gould will make the opening remarks, before handing over the mic to Jamie Margolin and   Dr. Marshall Shepherd, who will focus on climate and strategies for carbon reduction.
