The newly designed building of the “Österreichischer Bundesverlag Schulbuch” (Austrian Federal Publisher Schoolbook) in Vienna, created by Meindl Cavar Concepts, blends playful elements and design for a collaborative workspace. Featuring the bright orange corporate identity and schoolbooks in its aesthetic, the design promotes comfort with rust red, dark green, and beige tones. Innovative features include swings, hidden seating niches, and an oversized “Connect Four” game. The bistro, transformed from dark, closed rooms into a light-flooded common area, serves as a versatile meeting space. Sustainable flooring from Interface, chosen for its recyclability and interesting patterns, distinguishes different zones that blend harmoniously into the overall picture and supports ecological goals.
