Paul Hawken is an environmentalist, entrepreneur, author and activist who has dedicated his life to environmental sustainability and changing the relationship between business and the environment. He is one of the environmental movement’s leading voices, and a pioneering architect of corporate reform with respect to ecological practices. His book, “The Ecology of Commerce,” inspired Interface founder Ray Anderson’s shift toward making Interface a restorative company. Paul has been a member of Interface’s “Eco Dream Team” since the 1990s, heavily influencing the company’s sustainability strategies. He is also the founder of Project Drawdown.

If one were to look for a company that traversed the greatest arc of environmental transformation in the past 25 years, it would be Interface. And if they have any overriding teaching for the rest of the world, it would be how to set goals.
