Helmich is Teamleader of the EMEA Concept Design team. After receiving a Bachelor degree in Interior design from the DesignAcademy in Eindhoven, Helmich set up a studio in collaboration with Bas Kortmann in Rotterdam. For four years they worked on Interior projects with many designers creating models exploring materials including wood, gypsum, metal and plastics. Following this, Helmich worked for several architect and design agencies as an interior/product designer in Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht. After ten years working in many design areas Helmich found Interface.
